Am I a Candidate?
Invisalign® treats a wide variety of oral concerns, and is a great solution for your smile if you have:
- Gapped teeth
- An overbite
- Rotated teeth
- An underbite
- An open bite
- An overly crowded smile
- A crossbite
Only your dentist can determine your candidacy for Invisalign®. Our doctors are all well-versed and qualified to diagnose any health or cosmetic issues you may have with your smile. They can perform a full dental exam, including advanced imaging, to determine if Invisalign® or traditional braces are better to help you achieve your goals. Metal braces can be more effective for patients seeking a more affordable option, or who have alignment issues too severe to correct with the aligner trays.
Invisalign® uses removable, clear aligner trays as a discreet orthodontic alternative to metal braces. With Invisalign® there is no metal wiring. Instead, you can look forward to wearing a series of virtually invisible, plastic aligner trays that gently shift your teeth into alignment over the course of your unique treatment plan. Invisalign® allows you to achieve a dramatically straightened smile with little to no interference in your daily life.
You can easily remove Invisalign® aligners for each meal, allowing you to continue to enjoy your favorite foods.
When undergoing Invisalign® treatment, you must wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day. About every two weeks, you will move onto the next tray in the series. Every four to six weeks, you will return to our office so our doctors can monitor your progress and provide your next set of trays. Because the trays are removable, you can easily maintain diligent oral hygiene. You will simply remove your aligners to brush and floss. This aspect not only adds convenience to the process, but also promotes good oral health by ensuring easier brushing and flossing. You can also easily remove the aligners for each meal, allowing you to continue to enjoy your favorite foods.
