Simple Pricing And Easy Payments
Cost
The cost of Invisalign is comparable to the cost of traditional braces. Each patient's total treatment cost is unique depending on the number of aligners required to straighten the smile, with numbers at our Fairfax office ranging from $2,450 to $7,450. Patients agree that the benefits of Invisalign make this orthodontic system a worthy investment.
Insurance
The good news is that many insurance plans will cover a good portion of Invisalign treatment. Our knowledgeable staff can help you review your policy and maximize your benefits.
Financing
To help patients afford any additional costs, we proudly offer financing through CareCredit®, a third-party lender that allows you to pay for dentistry or orthodontics in manageable monthly installments.
The Clear Difference between Invisalign and Traditional Metal Braces
Orthodontists and dentists alike offer Invisalign for transformative treatment without noticeable hardware.
The Benefits of Invisalign
When it comes to straightening your teeth, our patients often prefer orthodontic treatment from Invisalign over braces. That's because clear aligners are:
More Comfortable
These sturdy aligners are made from smooth plastic, so there are no sharp metal wires or brackets to irritate your gums and mouth.Barely Visible
Invisalign clear aligners are practically invisible when worn over your teeth. Unlike traditional braces, they're hard to see when you speak or smile.
Easily Removable
Traditional braces are fixed in place, requiring patients to avoid some foods. Alternatively, with Invisalign, you can just take out your aligners when it's mealtime, snack time, or coffee time.
Simple to Care for
While traditional braces can be tough to clean and often need extra care, Invisalign patients can brush and floss normally once they've removed their aligners.
Potentially Faster Than Braces
Depending on the severity of your misalignment and your unique smile goals, certain Invisalign treatments may be able to straighten your teeth in as little as six months.
How Well Does Invisalign Blend in With My Smile?

As you can see, Invisalign clear aligners almost vanish when you put them on. If you're ready to subtly refine your smile, visit our Fairfax dentists.
Invisalign Offers More Than Cosmetic Benefits
While most patients seek out Invisalign to enhance the appearance of their smiles, treatment can also benefit your oral health.
As a comprehensive dentistry team, we look at the big picture. Unlike practices run by orthodontists, we focus on both your oral health and your cosmetic results. We can improve your health with Invisalign in several ways.
Teeth that are rotated or crowded can be difficult to clean, increasing your risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues. When your teeth are evenly spaced and properly aligned, you can brush and floss thoroughly to maintain a healthy smile.
Invisalign can also address a misaligned bite. If the upper and lower jaws do not meet correctly, pressure is unevenly distributed among your teeth. This condition, known as malocclusion, often leads to side effects like chronic headaches and TMJ. Orthodontic treatment can alleviate the strain, and prevent unnecessary wear on your teeth.

“Excellent care. I had not been to the dentist in a long time and they made me feel welcome and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

Why Choose Invisalign Over Other Clear Aligners?
You may have heard of other types of clear orthodontic aligners and wonder if Invisalign is the best choice. While other brands may sound like good alternatives, there are several reasons why we recommend Invisalign:
Longstanding Success
Invisalign pioneered clear orthodontic aligners and remains popular for good reason. Over the years, Invisalign has helped more than 11 million people worldwide achieve straighter, healthier smiles without the hassle of traditional orthodontics.
Better Materials
Orthodontists and dentists strive to use the most trustworthy materials. Many prefer Invisalign because the trays are made out of a specially formulated material known as SmartTrack®. This patented material is designed for comfort, but it also stays rigid longer than other materials, meaning it is less prone to breakage.
Professional Support
While direct-to-consumer orthodontics may sound convenient, there are countless things that can go wrong during this complex treatment. It is worth the investment in time and money to work with our experienced team of dentists, who can supervise your treatment and make sure you achieve the results you need and deserve.
The Importance Of Choosing A Skilled Dentist
Our individualized care and precise attention to detail can make all the difference between disappointing and exceptional results. We understand that Invisalign, like any orthodontic treatment, involves a significant investment of your time and money, so we do our part to make sure the end results exceed your expectations.
During your check-ups every four to six weeks, we will carefully assess the movement of your teeth. If a tooth or group of teeth are not shifting as intended, we can increase the pressure by placing Invisalign Attachments. Attachments are small pieces of tooth-colored composite resin temporarily bonded to your enamel. The shape and size of the attachment will encourage the tooth to move in a particular way. Once your progress is back on track, the bonding is removed, and you can continue with the rest of your system, often without adding to your total treatment time.

Minor Misalignment? Invisalign Express May be the Answer
Some patients with minor alignment issues affecting their most visible teeth can take advantage of Invisalign® Express. Instead of the traditional series of 20 to 30 aligners, Invisalign Express involves 10 trays or fewer. This rapid system works the same way as traditional Invisalign, by wearing each aligner for about two weeks apiece for 20 to 22 hours a day. However, this treatment is designed to provide a cosmetic upgrade in six months or less. Ask your dentist if Invisalign Express can work for you during your consultation at our Fairfax practice.

“My experience at the Fairfax Family Dental Care is always a pleasant experience. Great customer service from the receptionist desk, my dental hygienist Elaine, and Dr. Kamali.”

FAQs About Invisalign in Fairfax, VA
Can you get Invisalign at any age?
Invisalign works for patients of all ages who have their adult teeth and need to correct mild to moderate dental misalignment. Age is not as important as responsibility when it comes to clear aligners. If you can commit to wearing the trays every day as instructed, Invisalign can help you.
Do Invisalign aligners hurt?
The purpose of orthodontic treatment is to use pressure to move the teeth into the proper position. That being said, it is normal to feel slightly tender or sore as you get used to wearing each new aligner. Most patients find that Invisalign is much more comfortable than traditional braces. You also avoid the irritation to the inside of your mouth that frequently results from metal brackets and archwires.
How do I clean my Invisalign aligners?
Clean your aligners every time you go to brush and floss your teeth. Gently but thoroughly scrub the interior of the tray with a soft-bristled toothbrush. You can use a distilled vinegar solution or an antibacterial soap instead of toothpaste, which can be abrasive against the smooth plastic. Rinse the trays in lukewarm water, as hot temperatures can warp their shape.
What should I do if I lose my clear aligner?
If you misplace or accidentally dispose of one of your clear aligners, please contact our Fairfax office. Your dentist will give you instructions on how to proceed. We sometimes recommend wearing the previous aligner in the series, so don't throw them out in case of an emergency. To avoid these situations in the first place, do not store your aligners on napkins, paper plates, or other disposable tableware when you eat.
Are the results permanent?
The results from Invisalign can last a lifetime when you follow all post-treatment instructions. Patients will need to wear a retainer (or the last aligner tray in the series) at night to prevent their teeth from shifting back into their previous positions.
